Could do with AC and room fridges. A lot of steps (being on the crater's edge) flies during crop growing season and it doesn't get as cold here as suggested unless maybe you're at the top of Mt Batur in the early morning. Restaurant serves great food, the rooftop pool has the best views and finally the STAFF here are absolutely top notch, the best in Kintamani!!

 Verified Wonderful experience at Desa Oculus
We loved our one night stay at Desa Oculus. The decided to stay at our hotel for dinner and didn’t disappoint the food and service was excellent. Riska was outstanding server. The complementary breakfast was not to miss and after a sunrise tour was a satisfying meal. Do not miss the experience to stay at Desa Oculus! Simply amazing with the beautiful views from the room, the restaurant and the infinity pool! We booked the corner Mountain View which was fabulous - getting the sunrise view and also the view during sunset - all within the comfort of the room. The room was on the warmer side due to it facing the sun throughout most of the day and being surrounded by windows for the view. We had to open the sliding door to air out and also kept it slightly ajar during the early night to cool down. Tasty food at the on-site restaurant while enjoying the view along with friendly and courteous staff. Didn’t get a chance to enjoy the infinity pool but would have been amazing. Would want to stay here again if visiting Kintamani.

**Google Review** I highly recommend staying at Desa Oculus. The staff is fantastic, highly attentive, and available 24/7. A special thank you to Kak Widianti, who took the time to show us all the best spots around the property. The food is exceptional. Everything is freshly made and delicious, and the on-site restaurant stays open late into the night. This is incredibly convenient, as there is no need to order food from outside. We booked the afternoon tea with a beautiful view of Mount Batur, which was perfect. We also enjoyed a floating breakfast at the infinity pool around 11:00 AM; the weather was wonderful and completely comfortable, not hot at all. We stayed in a corner room with a mountain view, and the experience was flawless. The room was spotless with absolutely no bugs. The amenities were fully stocked and smelled wonderful, especially the soap. The bed was huge and soft, making for a perfect night's sleep. Overall, this was an incredible stay, and I cannot recommend it enough!

 Verified Desa Oculus Staff make it amazing
Firstly the staff at this hotel are awesome, super positive, friendly and helpful in every way. To mention a few, Nita Suma and Saputra thanks for making our stay most welcoming. Why only the 4 stars, well the flies aside (thanks to the chickenpoo fertilisers on Kintamani’s farmland) although considered ‘cooler’ in temps than other parts of Bali, it can still get hot and stuffy and with no aircon can get uncomfortable. No mini fridges either in the rooms and not so much a major issue for us but if you have kids with you, no TV’s either. There are also plenty of stairs to keep you fit too! Food and services are though very good. We ate here as well in the restaurant and including the breakfasts and could not fault any of the dishes, all excellent. The views are impressive overlooking Danau Batur and the volcanic mountains. Early morning being best to glimpse the peak of Agung. All in all it’s the staff that make this place. Enjoyed it.
